Heraclitus Research Center participated in the Semester at Sea programme

In the 24th of January at the Columbia Venue Centre, the Heraclitus Research Centre was invited to give a presentation for the USA Semester at Sea Programme. The seminar focused on the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and was organized by ARIS (A Really Inspiring Space).

 

The Heraclitus Research Centre was represented by the PhD candidate and associate in the Gazelle Project Mr. Hristo Andreev with a presentation titled: “Providing Opportunities and Resources for Entrepreneurs Through Transnational Cooperation Projects and Digital Technology”. Hristo started with an introduction to the Transnational Cooperation Projects, presenting the coverage area of the INTERREG BalkanMed programme and then the main goal of the Gazelle Project, which is to help Gazelles run faster and further. Then, the project partners were introduced to the audience, as well as the amount of funding for the Cyprus University of Technology.

 

After presenting the main information regarding the programme, the presenter focused on the Startup Toolkit platform which is output from the work package “Development of toolkit for the support centers”. Hristo Andreev made an introduction to the Startup Toolkit platform explaining to the audience the goals behind the development of the toolkit and the platform, with the main point being: “To provide free resources and save precious time to entrepreneurs, angel investors and support center officers”. The platform and its functionality were presented as well as the three main target groups: Startups and SMEs, Business Angels and Support Centers. The presentation continued with a showcase of the tools developed by the Cyprus University of Technology, as well as the other partners of the project.
